Full-Time Faculty – Tenure Track – Biology Department Chair


Carlow University invites applications for a chair of the Department of Biology, to begin August, 2017. This is a tenure-track faculty position of open rank based upon experience. Departmental needs include teaching General Ecology and upper level Organismal Biology courses, and may include other courses as needed in the Biology Major curriculum. Experience using molecular techniques in ecological research would enhance the application.

Qualified applicants must hold a doctoral degree and have a minimum of five years teaching at the college level. Experience in a leadership role as program director or department chair is preferred.  Applicants should possess basic experience in using technology applications, specifically learning management systems (LMS).  Qualified applicants should have experience working with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and University constituents.
