Carlow University invites applications for the position of
Project Manager in the Division of Information Technology.
The Project Manager has responsibility for coordination,
scheduling, communication, tracking, testing, maintaining quality
standards and implementation oversight of technology and business
improvement initiatives across the enterprise. This position

critical to the strategic success in providing optimal
implementations and ongoing operations of technology and
operational services in alignment with business needs and the
implementation of new initiatives, including requirements, process
definition, evaluation, scoping, design, configuration oversight,
testing, training, communications, activation, and post-install
- Scheduling and
tracking of application upgrades and patching, ensuring that
software is kept up-to-date
- Oversight of
network and system upgrade and maintenance to ensure up-time and
with key stakeholders regarding technology upgrades, plans,
training curriculum materials and deliver training with
stakeholders on effective use of services
- Participate in
research, analysis, proposals and implementations of solutions to
improve business processes and functions

Specific duties and responsibilities may vary based upon
- Minimum of two
years in project management capacity, including the development and
execution of communications plans
- Minimum of one
year of testing, training, quality assurance
experience developing testing procedures and protocols
- Required: An
Associate's Degree in a technology-related field such as Computer
Science or Information Science, or comparative work experience.
Excellent organizational, process-orientation and time-tracking
Excellent business process understanding including ability to
diagram a process and provide improvements to methods
Ability to collaboratively work with diverse groups of individuals
in managing projects to successful and timely completion
Project Management certification, such as PMP or current relevant
Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong
organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to relate and communicate in a positive way to the many
constituencies of the University.
While this position is generally a Monday-Friday full-time
responsibility at the Oakland campus, flexibility options exist
that would enable an optimal and productive environment which meets
the needs of both the incumbent and Carlow University.
Night/weekend work will be required during critical periods such as
project implementations, system issues and upgrades.
